V-block

The V-shaped frame is mainly used to place circular workpieces such as shafts, sleeves, disks, etc., in order to find and draw the centerline. Generally, V-shaped frames are made of two pieces, and the flat surfaces and V-shaped grooves of the two pieces are ground out during one installation. The parallelism and perpendicularity error between the dimensions of the V-shaped frame and its surfaces are within 0.01 millimeters. The centerline of the V-shaped groove is within the symmetry plane of the V-shaped frame and parallel to the bottom surface. The concentricity and parallelism errors are also within 0.01 millimeters. The half angle error of the V-shaped groove is within the range of ± 30~± 1. The V-shaped frame can also be used for marking. The V-shaped frame with a clamping bow can firmly clamp cylindrical workpieces on the V-shaped frame and flip them to various positions for marking.

The production process of V-shaped frames: After two rounds of manual aging and precision machining, the semi-finished V-shaped frames are connected in series with 6 or 4 pieces for scraping. The purpose is to unify the dimensional accuracy of a single pair of V-shaped frames. For the convenience and portability of measurement work, solid structure technology is used for small V-shaped frames, while frame structure technology is used for large V-shaped frames.

V-frame (cast iron V-frame) can be divided into two types based on material: ductile iron V-frame and gray iron V-frame. The use of ductile iron V-frame is relatively rare, and V-frame with smaller specifications and higher precision requirements is generally used, such as ground V-frame. The accuracy of the V-frame made of ductile iron is greater than level 0. The use of gray iron V-frame is relatively widespread, and gray iron has low cost, short production cycle, simple process, which is one of the reasons why manufacturers and users choose it.
