How to test the strength of the surface of cast iron platform

The testing method for cast iron plates is to install a testing device on the working surface of the tested plate. Without adding weights, the measuring head of the comparator is in contact with the working surface (for accurate measurement, a thin measuring block can be placed between the measuring head and the working surface), and the reading is recorded. Then apply weights to the bracket as mentioned in the previous article, and record the reading of the comparator at this time. It is the deflection value of the flat plate under rated load. After unloading the load, observe whether the comparator returns to the reading at no load. If it fails to recover, analyze the cause and retest.
