How to set the support points for cast iron plates

How to determine the position of the main fulcrum of a cast iron flat plate? According to geometric principles, a plane is determined by three points that are not on a straight line. Therefore, only by using three-point support can geometric stability be achieved. Therefore, GUONEIWAI cast iron flat plate manufacturing plants have stipulated a three-point pivot form. The reason for this configuration is that the flat plate is usually manufactured under normal placement conditions, and the deflection caused by its own weight will not affect the accuracy of the flat plate. Therefore, the support point is set closer to the edge, which basically reduces the risk of the flat plate overturning.

Some cast iron flat plates use four point supports. During manufacturing (scraping or grinding) or use, these plates are inevitably supported on these three points (which are harder to support) and then on another three points (which are harder to support), causing the force points of the plate to be in an uncertain state. However, the plate is not a rigid body, which can cause slight deformation of the working surface, resulting in unpredictable changes in the flatness value of the plate and exceeding the tolerance. The large flat plates produced by general manufacturers are supported by six points. Due to insufficient rigidity and excessive positioning support of the flat plate, it is difficult to achieve geometric stability of DEAO. During the production, inspection, and use of the flat plate, there is a possibility of changes in the position of the main support points due to deformation of the bracket or other reasons. All these supports keep the flat plate in an unstable deformation state, inevitably causing changes in the flatness value of the plate, making it difficult to maintain the stability of the accuracy of the plate.

In the use and processing of cast iron plates, main support points and auxiliary support points should be set up. What are main support points, auxiliary support points, and main support points? It refers to the part of a cast iron flat plate used as the main support when it comes into contact with the installation base or ZHUANYONG bracket during processing, inspection, and use. At this point, the supporting force system is in a static state. Auxiliary pivot point refers to the additional pivot point added to the flat plate during use to prevent overturning due to the displacement of the load-bearing center of gravity or deformation caused by excessive load. The supporting force on the auxiliary fulcrum should be less than the supporting force on the main fulcrum.

The setting of the main and auxiliary supports of the cast iron flat plate is an important factor affecting the accuracy and maintenance of the flat plate. In order to ensure consistency in the accuracy of the working surface during the processing, inspection, acceptance, and use of BAOZHENG cast iron plates, a main pivot point is set up. This will overcome the problem of inconsistent flatness error values in the inspection and use of cast iron plates over 1000mm × 750mm. For large cast iron plates, tilting and overturning may occur due to excessive load. In order to increase the rigidity of the flat plate, prevent it from overturning due to center of gravity deviation, and prevent YOUHAI deformation caused by excessive load, auxiliary support points are set up to help with the accuracy of QUEBAO flat plate use. Due to the lack of reinforcing bars on the marble platform, main and auxiliary supports are set up to allow the BAOZHENG plate to have ZUIXIAO deformation.
