Cast iron square boxes are mainly used for the inspection and marking of parallelism, perpendicularity, etc. of components. A cast iron square box/cast iron square cylinder is a concrete hollow cube made of cast iron with six working faces, one of which has a V-shaped groove. Normal temperature and humidity are the environmental conditions for the calibration of cast iron square boxes/cast iron square cylinders.

1、 The material of the cast iron square box is gray cast iron HT200-250, manufactured according to JB/T3411.56-99 standard. The cast iron inspection box has undergone two manual annealing treatments to remove internal stress, resulting in a stable casting structure that is not easily deformed.

2、 The use of cast iron square box: as a tool for three-dimensional marking in industrial production workshops; It can also detect the parallelism and perpendicularity of mechanical parts; It can also be used as a workbench. 3、 Technical requirements for cast iron square box: The working surface must not have defects such as sand holes, air holes, cracks, slag inclusions, shrinkage porosity, scratches, bumps, rust spots, etc. that seriously affect the appearance and performance of use, otherwise it will result in inaccurate measurements.

4、 The method for verifying the flatness of cast iron square boxes: For square boxes with a side length of 300mm or less, 1mm measuring blocks are placed at each end of the inspected surface of the square box during verification. The cutting edge ruler is placed on the working surface of the measuring block, and then the measuring block is used to test the plug at each inspection point. The difference between the size of the equivalent block group just inserted and the size of the measuring blocks at both ends is the deviation between the two ends of the inspected point. This verification should also be conducted on several sections of the square box working face in the longitudinal, transverse, and diagonal directions. When the error directions of the straight lines measured at various positions are consistent, take the maximum value. When the error directions are not consistent, take the sum of the large positive and negative differences, which is the flatness of the inspected surface plane.
