Storage locations and maintenance knowledge for cast iron and marble platforms:

Cast iron plates should be placed in a ventilated and dry environment, away from heat sources and corrosive gases and liquids.

Marble slabs are not subject to too many such restrictions, and they do not undergo iron oxidation reactions or air oxidation reactions. Marble slabs have good adaptability and are not greatly affected or restricted by the environment.

When using a cast iron platform, attention should be paid to handling the workpiece gently to avoid collision. The surface of the cast iron flat plate will undergo biological deformation, which will affect its measurement accuracy. When the marble platform is subjected to some collisions, only a few stone fragments will fall off, and it will not affect its actual use, nor will it undergo physical deformation.

When the cast iron platform is not in use, its surface needs to be treated with rust prevention, such as brushing a layer of repair on the surface, and then covering it with rust proof paper, which is a more complex task. Do not use marble slabs for these tasks. Just clean the surface of the marble slab. Because the material of marble slabs is different from that of cast iron slabs, they have very good stability.
